Basic listings are free and always will be. What's for sale is placement and depth — not inclusion.
The one rule
Nobody has to pay to be in this directory. Charging businesses for the privilege of being findable is what makes most local directories useless, because the directory ends up listing whoever paid rather than whoever exists.
What's for sale is the stuff above and beyond that: better placement, a richer listing, and sponsorship of the parts of the site people actually use.
Listing tiers

| Featured | Everything above, plus top placement in its categories and a rotation slot on the home page. Always labeled Paid placement. |
Sponsorships
Single-sponsor slots on the home page, the category pages and the events calendar. One sponsor per slot, no auction, no retargeting pixels, no third-party ad network watching your neighbors browse.
What it costs
There isn't a rate card yet — on purpose.
This site is new. Quoting rates against traffic that doesn't exist yet would be selling you something we can't yet prove. Get in touch and we'll talk about what's actually there, and price accordingly — including, quite possibly, "not yet."
What we won't do
- Sell placement that isn't labeled as placement.
- Let an advertiser change or remove a competitor's free listing.
- Trade advertising here for coverage in The Monument Independent, in either direction. See About for why that matters.
- Run third-party programmatic ads. The slots here are sold to local businesses directly or they sit empty.
